Adjusted Mind Poem by Caryn Adams

The grass is green

Even though it’s fake

But it has a purpose

And is colorful in make

The building is loud

But the birds aren’t phased

Sitting on the 9th floor

There is a reason why the balcony is raised

The reflection is bright

The sky so clear

Close your eyes

Open your ears

Focus on the now

Reflect on where you are

Let go of uncertainty

Thoughts should not wander too far

Be grateful, feel free

Breathe deeply – oh so sweet

Be positive, be real

Do not accept defeat

Be aware of your actions

Respond with care

Feeling a little flustered?

Go and get some air…

Stay true to yourself

Remember you are great

Take care of yourself first

Don’t carry negative weight

You are special, you are kind

Now all you have to do is fix your mind!
