How often do you meet someone and after listening to what they have or are going through, you tell them that they can right a book of their life. I think that we ALL have a book to write. The questions more so, how would you like that story to be told and are you willing to share your story to the world, or at least to yourself. It makes sense to write a book when you know the ending of the book. But I do not think that the sole purpose of reading a book is to reach the end of it. If you enjoy reading a really well written book, do you even want it to end? That is what I see my life as, a book that has no ending, because truth be told, I do not know when or how it will end neither will I be around to tell my story.
I use to live by the motto that “life is a journey, and not a destination”. I no longer think this way. Who goes on a journey in the hopes of never reaching their destination. Now, I like to think that life as more of a series of chapters with many journeys to be told. I recently went to see my doctor, the best I need to mention. He has a way to make me feel valued and seems to remember everything that I tell him, things I forgotten that I have. Well he told me that I should right a book. When I reflect back on my life’s many journeys where I have embraced the experiences and learned lessons the hard way. I’ve come now to a point where I’m learning the lessons in the midst of my experiences. Whereby I am grateful for coming out alive with only a few scars to show. “Our scars make us beautiful. Our trials make us strong. Our journeys make us unique”. So I dare you to tell your story!

My mom’s thong: One day when I was 3 I decided I wanted to be like my mom and wear “big girl” panties. I sneakily went through her drawer and grabbed the first thing I could find – a thong (I didn’t know what it was at the time). She didn’t know until we went to breakfast with some friends and took me to the bathroom. She still won’t let me live it down.
